Doing our bit for charity

Lookoutmedia is pleased to be helping the Dorset Children’s Foundation promote its ‘Paddy’s Purpose’ campaign. The video, which was filmed and edited by a Video Journalist in just two days, is being sent to Primary schools to demonstrate what happens when workshop coordinator Gemma and her son Paddy make a visit.

As part of our service Lookoutmedia also produced a short promotional video which is being used on the charity website.

On the News – in the Wet!

This might have been a challenging task for some video producers; film a dynamic four minute feature in under three hours and have it edited for broadcast the next day. But it was no problem for our TV News Professionals.

The team consisted of one experienced Presenter, two brilliant Cameramen and a Drone Operator – all directed with calm efficiency by a Writer/Producer/Director with 20 years experience. The result was broadcast to half a million people on ITV Meridian.

Animated in Asia

Lookoutmedia were recently asked to enhance a video with animation to highlight key features of a major hydro electric project in Asia. The video shows how simple animation can make a big impact on the viewers understanding about how the work of an individual company can play an important role in the success of a much bigger project.

Expert Speakers

Lookoutmedia is currently producing a series of videos for the University of Southampton which highlights the breath and variety of it’s keynote speakers. Each event features one or more experts who are ‘live steamed’ to a wider audience. A video of the event is then posted online. Recent guest speakers include the BBC’s North America Correspondent Jon Sopel.

Broadcasting experience

At LookoutMedia we pride ourselves in sharing our wealth of broadcasting experience with our corporate clients – matching crisp scriptwriting to strong, relevant images to create simple, effective messaging.

But it seems that newsrooms are so keen to keep on using our services that we’re having trouble finding enough time to share our communication skills. Over the past six months we’ve seen an increase in demand from BBC and ITV News and we’ve also been spending more time media training the military.  Of course we haven’t neglected out regular clients (hello the University of Southampton) and we always welcome new enquiries.

So please get in touch if you’d like to discuss a new project.

Stay Calm and Carry On!

Lookoutmedia was commissioned to produce a promotional video for the pioneering US medical procedure firm CVRx Inc to demonstrate the success of their Barostim Neo device which is used to treat hypertension. A Video Journalist filmed the procedure at a London hospital and also the follow up in just two days. Thanks to our contacts in broadcast news, the footage formed an integral part of a media campaign that gained extensive coverage of this breakthrough procedure on both the BBC and ITV.

Short Promo Sting on a Budget!

Our favourite public speaker asked us to produce 14 self-improvement videos each of about 15 minutes duration. It was quite a task for Andy as he spent a day reading more than 3 hours of script from an autoque! But what to put on the front of the videos to motivate his students? The budget answer was a short compilation of archive shots mixed with some punchy music!

Sharing the Knowledge

In recent weeks Lookoutmedia has been providing Media Training for senior officers at Bournemouth Borough Council.  We’re using the sessions to share our real world knowledge of BBC and ITV News interview techniques.  The aim is to help our clients understand what a Broadcast Journalist is looking for when they carry out an interview and also to give a few tips on how to best get their message across – all in a fun environment!  We are training eight individuals each day (two sessions – four people in the morning and four in the afternoon) and the feedback has been excellent, with more dates booked throughout the summer.

Flying Humans!

It is one of the most extreme sports – and also the subject of advanced research at the University of Southampton which is being promoted with the help of LookoutMedia. The aim of the Icarus project is to manufacture the world’s first scientifically developed wingsuit, to break current records and set additional world records in human flight.

These records include the highest altitude and highest speed wingsuit jump in history, whilst traveling furthest total distance in the longest ever wingsuit flight.

Flying High

Lookoutmedia was delighted to be involved in the production of a promotional video to help sell a multi-million pound luxury private jet. The Falcon Dassault was re-fitted to an exceptionally high standard – an achievement which needed to be effectively communicated in the sales video. Working alongside our partners Widget Production, we think we did a pretty good job! This is a client who’s now been with us for more than five years during which time we’ve helped him sell quite a few planes while also promoting his company’s aviation services.
